Anand Mahindra Extends Support to Delhi Boy Selling Rolls After Father’s Death: A Tale of Courage

Anand Mahindra steps in to help Delhi boy seen in viral video selling rolls: 'Courage, thy name is Jaspreet'

Industrialist Anand Mahindra has extended a helping hand to Jaspreet, a 10-year-old boy from Delhi, who found himself thrust into the responsibility of running his father’s street-side stall after the latter’s demise due to brain tuberculosis. The heartwarming gesture comes after a viral video captured the poignant story of Jaspreet, showcasing his resilience and determination in the face of adversity.

In the video, shared by food vlogger Sarabjeet Singh, also known as mrsinghfoodhunter, Jaspreet is seen skillfully preparing a chicken egg roll at the stall. Despite the challenges he faces, including the recent loss of his father, Jaspreet maintains a cheerful demeanor, revealing the depth of his courage and strength.

Moved by Jaspreet’s story, Anand Mahindra took to social media to express his admiration and offer support. He wrote, “Courage, thy name is Jaspreet. But his education shouldn’t suffer. I believe he’s in Tilak Nagar, Delhi. If anyone has access to his contact number, please do share it.” Mahindra further stated that the Mahindra Foundation would explore avenues to support Jaspreet’s education, recognizing the importance of ensuring a bright future for the young boy.

Jaspreet, who credits his culinary skills to his late father, offers a variety of rolls at the stall, ranging from chicken and kabab rolls to paneer and chowmein rolls. Despite facing adversity at such a young age, Jaspreet maintains his resolve, echoing the sentiment, “I am the son of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. I will fight as long as I have the strength.”

The video, which has garnered over nine million views on Instagram since its posting, has sparked an outpouring of support from various quarters. BJP leader Tajinder Bagga and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Jarnail Singh, the MLA from Delhi’s Tilak Nagar, have also pledged assistance for Jaspreet, underscoring the unity and compassion within the community.

As Jaspreet’s story continues to inspire millions, it serves as a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of kindness. In a world often overshadowed by challenges, it is stories like Jaspreet’s that illuminate the path forward, reminding us of the importance of empathy, compassion, and solidarity in creating a brighter tomorrow for all.
